Psalm 141:4

Let not my heart be drawn to what is evil, to take part in wicked deeds with men who are evildoers; let me not eat of their delicacies.

I’ve come to believe that disobedience is a heart issue. If our hearts truly love God and know that He loves us it’s not hard to do the right things, to be obedient and die to fleshly desires. We need to constantly be checking our hearts and examining the desires and thought patterns that reside there.

The wicked have a way of making evil look deliciously tempting. I pray for the prodigal to have a heart that is turned toward the Lord and not drawn to evil. I also pray, that because God fully has their heart, He can easily move them to obedience, which in the end is much more fulfilling.

Psalm 141:4

Let not ________’s heart be drawn to what is evil, to take part in wicked deeds with men who are evildoers; let _________ not eat of their delicacies.
