Galatians 2:20-21 NLT

My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.

Living a Christ-like life on a daily basis is difficult at best. Without crucifying self and allowing Christ to actually live through me, it can’t be accomplished.

Verse 21 stirs up these questions in me… do I treat the grace of God as meaningless? Do I realize the tremendous price paid at the cross for me?

God’s GRACE – it’s a hard concept to understand; that’s why it’s by faith I must trust that Christ giving His life is enough; will always be enough.

I pray the prodigal will grasp the concept of grace; that they will not treat it lightly. A huge price was paid for their freedom. As the prodigal steps out in faith, crucifying themselves to live as Christ would, may they walk in the strength of the One who lives within them.
